Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association
Who We Are

Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association (CAMRA) is a search and rescue organization made entirely of volunteers and accredited by the Mountain Rescue Association. We are proud to have served the Arizona community since its inception in 1969.

What We Do

CAMRA is called upon by the Maricopa County Sherriff's Office and other governmental agencies to perform search and rescue services. We operate anywhere, anytime, and in any weather, in some of the most rugged terrain on the planet. Temperature extremes, expansive wilderness, and unforgiving topography are hallmarks of the our mission load. The result: Mountain Rescue has rescued thousands of people and saved hundreds of lives.

We specialize in technical rescue operations. The team is qualified, equipped, and on constant stand-by for:
-
High-Angle Rope Rescue (Technical Rock)
-
Helicopter Search & Rescue
-
Swiftwater Rescue
-
Underground Rescue (Cave & Mine)
-
Alpine Search & Rescue
-
Medical Emergencies
What We Ask

Every year we spend $10,000 on our gear and training. Please consider helping us with our mission of saving lives.

Central Arizona Mountain Rescue is supported solely by the community and receives no funding from governmental budgets. Technical rescue work requires radios, ropes, medical supplies, vehicles, operating funds, and a wide variety of rescue gear.
All donations are tax deductible, and we will provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. Please join us in our mission of saving lives by making a donation.
